The City of San Diego Engineering department made major improvements along 54th and Chollas Parkway. This improvement will increase safety in the neighborhood and makes the neighborhood much more navigable for bikers and pedestrians alike. Efforts of OPCC and SHCDC to bring awareness to this matter has finally brought justice to the family of a teenager killed in a fatal accident there just a few months ago.
The City of San Diego in collaboration with OPCC completed a big round of improvements along 54th street corridor, adding crosswalks, bike lanes, adding ramps, repaving the streets, replacing signage and evaluating the neighborhood for traffic calming measures and improved lighting. Thanks to the City Engineering department and its officers!
